Altea on the Costa Blanca in Spain feature 6 km of pebble beach divided by coves and cliffs. One of them a naturist beach. The avenida forms part of the national road between Valencia and Alicante.The esplanade is a good place to buy your daily English national newspapers (Printed in Madrid) and sit down on one of the many seasides Café’s and let the world go by. There are 2 main beaches in Altea both a mixture of sand and pebbles. The Playa de la Roda and the Playa de Cap Blanch. Other beaches close to Altea is the Playa de Cap Negret with its black pebbles and the Playa de L´Olla just in front of the island with the same name. At the Mascarat point to the north of the Altea bay are the shingled coves of La Solsida, La Barreta and La Galera. There are 2 water sports centers serving Altea , El Club Nautico de Altea and the El Puerto deportivo de Luis Campomanes. Both offering diving, windsurf, fishing , boat cruises and sailing. In the Luis Campomanes harbor you can see some of the most spectacular yachts you have ever laid eyes on. The sailing event The 2 hundred Milles A2 has its starting and finishing point in Atea . The clear waters of the Altea bay offer a treasure of marine life. Walls of sea anemones and octopus. Winding tunnels and narrow caves.
