Benidorm on the Costa Blanca in Spain features 2 of the largest, cleanest and most popular beaches in Spain. These 2 blue flagged quality beaches are named Levante and Poniente (sunrise and sunset). Both of the beaches in Benidorm have lifeguard patrols and a wealth of water sports activities. On the seafront esplanade there is an endless line of seafront cafés, restaurants and bars. The water sports activities include: • Waterskiing. • Jet skiing. • Paragliding. • Scuba diving. • Day boat trips along the coast. The Jetty in the port of the Poniente beach is the place to book trips to the Benidorm Island were through glass bottomed boats you can see the local marine life. Includes bream, sunfish, barracuda, octopus, moray eels, colorful corals and lobsters and crabs. The Levante beach is the place to see and be seen for the young at heart. This is were the teenagers flock for those sunny days that are not so lazy. If you prefer a more tranquil day on the beach the place is the Poniente beach. Less people and perfect for enjoying the day. Benidorms beaches are sandy and shallow for the enjoy of small children. In the water there are rafts with slides and diving boards. The beaches are cleaned each morning. The local council has placed big colorful boards with pictures on as easy to see meeting points.
