Go to Cova del Rull at Vall d'Ebo to see spectacular stalagmites and stalactites. The drive there is an absolutely fantastic journey through the mountains. At the Cueva de las Calaveras they have discovered remains of prehistoric life.

If the kids feel like a fun day take them to Benidorms Terra Mitica- Spain largest theme park. All kinds of fun rides included.

A mere half hour drive from Calpe towards the north lays the Vergel Safari Park. All kinds of animals to be seen including tiger’s, lions and sea lions. For information about what is going on during your stay contact one of the 3 tourist offices, in the port, at the Peñon de Ifach and in the town centre at the Plaza del Mosquit.

Calpe Nightlife

You will find a wide variety of entertainment in Calpe. There are plenty of bars restaurants and clubs. In the summer months you will find live music in the bars. Jazz, blues and soul together with country singers.

The Costa Blanca News is perfect for information about what is going on and were during your stay. However, if party all night is your thing a better choice is Benidorm a mere 20 minutes drive south.

There are many local fiestas held in Calpe throughout the year. Not to forget the German October fest. There a various big Spanish fiestas during the summer: San Juan the 24th of June. Virgen del Carmen the 16th of July and many more. The streets become a riot of color and the stage for a musical show of bands, processions, parades and fireworks.

Dances and open theatre performances during the summer months in the old town. Towards the end of September Calpe’s streets are the scene for the Moors and Christians parades. Paying an impressive honor to the regions centuries of Arab occupation and the battle against the Arab invaders.
