Denia on the Costa Blanca in Spain features more than 300 days of sunshine a year. With an average temperature of 20 degrees there is no better place to be than the 20 km of seafront. The beaches go from the sandy beach in the center of Denia to the more rocky coves and bays between the cliffs.Because of the length of the beaches in Denia they never get overcrowded. Popular family beaches with the European blue flag for quality and cleanness are Les Deveses Les Marines, Les Bovetes and Els Palmars. All patrolled by lifeguards during the summer months. These beaches are also equipped with foot showers, sunbeds and sunshades to hire. The seafront is served by a long line of beach bars and restaurants of every price category so when the going gets tough you have somewhere to go to cool down. During July and August it can get up to steamy 40 degrees here!! All sorts of beach activities are available, dinghies and pedaloes as well as sailboats to hire. Set back from the sea there are volleyball nets. The clean and clear waters make it a perfect place for scuba diving. In July Denia on the Costa Blanca in Spain holds it´s annual fiesta of Bous al Mar, bulls to the sea. The bulls are loosened on the quay side and then tormented by the youth of the town until it all ends up in the sea. The Spanish likes this but for an animal loving Brit it might be sickening.
