Denia on the Costa Blanca in Spain has a wide variety of places to see and visit in an around the town. All interests cared for from a 16th century castle with its archeology museum with ancient art and human remains from 200 B C to a toy museum and the colorful municipal food market.

15 minutes away there is a safari park. Just outside the town of Vergel. Be prepared for a great family day with tigers and sea lions among others. Keep the windows closed when driving through the park! Do not miss out on the sea lion show!

A 40 minutes drive to Benidorm and you can visit Terra Mitica. Spain largest theme park. Tons of rides and live entertainment.

The Balearic Islands are only a 3 hour ferry ride making it possible to go for a daytrip or if you can, stay a night or two.

Into the mountains you will be able to visit the Moorish fortress of Guadalest. Wonderful Arab architecture from the year of 715.

Denia Nightlife

Denia on the Costa Blanca is not a nightclub town like Benidorm but there are plenty of bars and restaurants with entertainment during the summer months.

The fiesta of the Fallas in Denia takes place in the middle of March. The fiesta consists of enormous paper maches erected throughout the town. On the last day they are set to fire. A spectacular bonfire party. The effigies are carefully designed to reflect the main issues at the time both socially and politically. Full of satire.

The Fogueres de San Juan on June 24th is the celebration of midsummer. Go to the beach to see some spectacular bonfires.

The Christian and Moors fiesta takes place during August 14th to 16th. Spectacular street parades remembering the hundreds of years of Moorish occupation.
