Relleu on the Costa Blanca in Spain owes it name to its uneven topography of the town. (Mountains and hills)After the expelling of the moors in 1609 there were only 15 Christian families left in the town. Due to the irrigation of the vegetable area the population of Relleu grew to more than 3000 by the beginning of the 20th century making Relleu the most populated town in the area. Due to the emigration to the coast the population of today´s Relleu is only around 900 people. The best way to reach Relleu is from Villajoyosa on the road connecting Sella with Orxeta. Distance from the capital Alicante is 39 kilometers.
